Other activities include long walks along the coast in the shade of pine trees, hiking in the picturesque heart of the Istrian peninsula, and bike riding by the Adriatic. You may also decide to experience the charms of in-land wine roads and enjoy gastronomic delights of the traditional Istrian cuisine. If you would rather go for a cultural discovery, Istria offers numerous historical monuments scattered throughout the entire peninsula, some of them dating as far back as the Roman empire. If you enjoy free climbing, you can practice it on the coast in Punta Corrente Park or in the Lim channel .
